BACKGROUND
After a decades-long partnership with Governors Club, including a 2008 long-term Master Plan and 2018 casual dining renovations, Chambers was honored to design the next evolution of the Club’s capital investment—Project 2025: Building for Tomorrow.
OUR APPROACH
Project 2025: Building for Tomorrow focuses largely on enhancements to the existing terrace on the lower level of the clubhouse, as well as kitchen enhancements to help meet increased demand.
The expanded Lakeview Terrace will increase outdoor dining capacity by 80% and will incorporate dining tables, soft seating areas, and seating arrangements around fire pits to create a variety of socialization opportunities. A new roof structure will provide cover for portions of the terrace, and a redesign of the existing grand staircases will create more usable, functional space leading to the terrace below.
Plans also include a renovation and expansion of the kitchen to better service current demand while preparing for expected increased capacity as a result of the terrace expansion.
NEXT STEPS
Construction is currently underway with project completion scheduled for Summer 2025.
