Chambers Retained to Renovate ULCC

Baltimore, MD | September 6, 2013

Chambers, a Baltimore-based planning, architecture and interior design firm specializing in private country, golf, city and yacht clubs, announced today that it has been retained for two new interior design projects: a renovation of the interiors of the Rendezvous, Carvery, and Federal Rooms at the Union League Club of Chicago, and a redesign of The Winter Center portion of the campus at The Chevy Chase Club in Bethesda, MD.

For the Union League Club of Chicago, said Chambers’ Chairman Robert Hickman, who heads the firm’s interior design team, “While want to keep the historic feel of the club’s interior, we’re excited about updating the spaces with a much more classic design approach.” The project is underway and is expected to be completed in May 2014.

The Chevy Chase Club, ranked 8th among the Platinum Clubs of America, has also retained Chambers to provide an updated feel for its Winter Center complex, which houses family bowling, ice hockey and casual and adult dining facilities. “The Winter Center at Chevy Chase is already an exciting and unique venue,” said Hickman. “It has a very special sense of place for the club’s established clientele,” he said, noting Chambers’ intent to modernize the facility while maintaining the attributes most treasured by the club’s members. The project is expected to be completed by late 2014.
