BACKGROUND
Since 1869, The Chicago Club has been the city’s premier club, offering members and guests the finest, most personalized service. Historically, the gracious atmosphere of the Clubhouse has provided the ideal setting for dining, business meetings, family celebrations, and social functions—and thus, to ensure this degree of excellence remains true today and in the future, the Club engaged Chambers to conceptualize an Interior Enhancement Plan to further elevate the member experience and interior atmosphere of various spaces.
OUR APPROACH
Chambers proposed various interior enhancements to the Club including upgrades to the First Floor, Mezzanine, Business Center, and Rooftop Terrace. To further strengthen the Club’s position as the “venue of choice” for members, Chambers’ plan promoted spontaneity through the implementation of the newly renovated Lounge & Café, as well as updated casual areas that foster connectivity and leisure. Warm tones are peppered throughout this renovation—including hues of blue, cream, gold and wooden accents—to help create a warm welcome the moment members step through the front door.
Every design element was thoughtfully selected to infuse modern sophistication into this historic city club. And while the design is modernized for tomorrow’s member, Chambers worked diligently to complement the Club’s preexisting architecture rather than take away from the handsome structure members know and love.
