High Ridge Country Club West Palm Beach, Florida
Background
Chambers, having worked on the Seawane Club in Hewlett Harbor, New York (additional information in this area of the Website) found many of the same members were also members of High Ridge, and they knew that Chambers would provide the design they wanted, even though it meant having to correct some recent decoration that did not meet members' high standards.
Our Approach
What the Chambers design team realized was that the club didn't have the inviting warmth that the members wanted and that the interior architecture wasn't of a standard to enhance the style the club needed. One of the most interesting additions was a large fireplace, something the many felt wasn't needed in Florida, but once installed proved to be one of the club’s most coveted meeting spots. The color scheme, style, and ambiance turned on several antique Chinese scrolls purchased in New York; the club interiors picked up the rich Chinese reds, golds, and green/blues and the Asian influence was introduced subtly throughout the facility.
Results
The ideas for the club interiors came together quickly, providing a clean, transitional interiors scheme that resonated with club membership. Because the club closed from May through September, Chambers had to coordinate design, interior architecture, construction, purchasing and installation with military precision. From the last moment club members saw the old spaces in early May to the moment they walked into a beautiful new facility in October Chambers worked diligently to provide the club the very best. And membership has maintained the interiors exactly as they were then to this day.
