Chambers, a Baltimore-based planning, architecture, and interior design firm specializing in private clubs, contributed over $4,000 to the Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief Fund.

In late August, Hurricane Harvey devastated parts of the United States—most notably Houston, TX and areas of Louisiana. Chambers’ employees quickly rallied together looking for a way to support disaster relief efforts.

Over the span of five days, employees pooled their resources to donate $2,000 to the American Red Cross’ Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. The firm backed their employees by matching every donation, bringing the grand total to over $4,000 being sent to the relief fund.

Chambers’ President and CEO Rick Snellinger is appreciative of his employees’ thoughtfulness. “Disaster can strike at any time,” said Snellinger. “Everyone felt it was the least they could do to help and the firm was more than willing to match each contribution. Every little bit helps.”

In addition to their Red Cross donation, which will aid in disaster relief for the thousands of individuals affected across Texas and Louisiana, the firm also donated to the Club Managers Association of America’s Texas Lone Star Chapter with the hopes of directly helping private clubs in Texas who were impacted as well.

Leading with your heart can have a strong impact and helping others has lasting results—physically, mentally and emotionally for all involved. Chambers hopes their gesture does just that.
