Interior Designer

Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in an architecture or interior design firm with a passion for or interest in residential or hospitality design. Download PDF

Responsibilities
• Must be a productive design team member contributing to conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration
• Participate in selection of FF&E color palettes & material presentations, and generate specifications
• Be active in professional organizations (ASID, NCIDQ, NEWH, etc.)
• Promote a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Prepare FF&E budgets
• Prepare lighting designs; materials and finishes; and furniture layouts
• Demonstrate strong communication skills
• Ability to engage with key stakeholders
• Envision & enact design concepts that enhance members’ experience at their clubs
• Awareness of industry trends and are current with industry resources
• Strong organizational, storytelling, communication, and presentation skills (illustrative / written / verbal)
• Be a proactive, self-starter who can work well both independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college
• At least 2-5 years of experience in an architectural or interior design firm
• Background in, or passion for, high end hospitality and/or residential interiors
• Working towards NCIDQ certification or has passed the NCIDQ examination and maintains an active record in good standing
• Possess a significant flair for creative design from concept to completion
• Adept at AutoCAD and some experience or familiarity with REVIT or other BIM software
• Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• LEED accredited professional is a plus
• Demonstrates sketching ability
• Excellent knowledge of hospitality resources, vendors and manufacturers
• Ability to communicate well with clients and to convey the design clearly
• Strong presentation skills and an interest in marketing and business development are highly advantageous
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
